To qualify to become a DSA Driving Instructor, you need to have held a full UK driving license for three and a half years and it should be free of any penalty points.
The training is done in three distinct phases so the cost can be spread over the training period.
The first is the Theory. We provide all the books required plus theory test tuition in our Office. This includes hazard perception training and a mock test for the multiple choice questions.
The second part is the driving Ability. This includes 20 hours tuition plus the car for the day of test and reading materials. This is strictly on a one-to-one basis.
The third and final part is the Teaching Ability. Before a PDI certificate is issued, 40 hours tuition is required which will allow you to teach and earn. Therefore this part of the course must be paid as Read more

Financial help may be available through the job centre. You can qualify for part, or the full cost of the course if you have been unemployed for more than 6 months. Ask the local officer for assistance in the matter of financial help for new business start ups.
There are also interest free loans available through the career development loan scheme which has a deferred repayment until you are qualified.
However, even if you do have to pay the whole cost yourself you will have a job that brings both satisfaction and a good financial reward. We also offer employment once you part qualified.
